We keep hearing about a "Trucker Shortage", So is there really a shortage of drivers or what? Well Frankly, We think they are being abducted and forced to learn how to fly Galactic Fighter Ships..lol. No, The reason for the problem is very simple "It Ain't Worth It" To most people to leave their families and loved ones.. For months at a time.

And then deal with all the issues related to Truck Driving like: Traffic,DOT,Weather,Accidents,Finding a "Safe Place" to sleep, Which unfortunately is not easy "Shame on the Federal Government, For not planning for this much sooner, And still not having any truly serious plans to resolve this issue ASAP". Much less the headache of dealing with fuel prices going through the roof, But it's the price the whole family pays.

By not having 1 or more of the parents at home on a regular basis while the Divorce Rate is at over 90% for OTR Drivers the simple solution is "The Pay" they receive not just them as families, But for most Company Drivers Local,Regional, And OTR, Because unless you really get lucky and can manage to get into a Union Job, Or even better, A very generous and honest Non Union Employer.

The pay scale is way to low to even seriously consider doing it. There is no way most people would even risk their private life,(wife, children, any relationship), Because the simple stats show, You're going to end up divorced probably within a year or two. And we all know the biggest reason for that is.. Money .. And it's hard enough to try and make a marriage with both spouses at home working hand in hand.

Much less not having enough money, Not being able to work a second job because your trapped in your truck by DOT Regs. for at least 10 hours every single day, Working for an employer that wants to get rich off your hard work.

But that's not going to happen, So there's where your shortage Starts and Ends. Money is the reason for the trucker shortage, The lack of it cause's 99% of the problems, So obviously the solution is a surplus of the same. But someone is finding people who are willing to do it for less, And all these people are doing is, Hurting themselves first and All the other Drivers second. Even becoming a Driver in the first place, Means you're going to go through pure hell just dealing with the Trucking aspect much less your Family Issues.

And for the money they want you to do it for? No way could we ever advise someone to start driving a truck unless they were young, unmarried and then not as a career only temporarily. The solution to the solve the Entire Problem is simple, The "Real Trucker Shortage Is caused by the Lack of Money,Not Qualified Safety Conscious Drivers"!
